Irish eyes are smiling this month as we get ready for St. Patrick’s Day. In honor of March 17, surprise a friend with a favorite beer of theirs, complete with one of our gift tags inspired by The Henry Ford’s archive of American Innovation.
The tags, designed by our own Catie Carlton, were inspired by a 1960s greeting card from our archives. To make the tags, first download the PDF here. Save the file to your computer and print on a piece of white or cream card stock. Cut out the hole around the dotted line; score just below the hole so that the tag hangs perfectly on the bottle.
Not that much of a beer drinker? Not to worry, we’ve got something for you, too. Executive Chef Mike Trombley has crafted a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired milkshake for you to make at home with ingredients from our friends at Guernsey Dairy.
Guernsey Shake – Shamrock Style
Ingredients (Serves 4)
4 cups Guernsey vanilla ice cream
2 cups Guernsey 2% milk
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon pure peppermint extract
2 ½ Tablespoons sugar
4 drops green food coloring
Method
Place all of the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth and serve. Top with whipped cream (as an added bonus) and enjoy!
